Notes: Domaine Bohrmann was established in 2002 and is run by Sofie Bohrmann who inherited a passion for winemaking from her father. The estate has made a name for itself with its superb Burgundy wines from vineyards in seven appellations: Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet, Saint-Romain, Gevrey-Chambertin, Monthelie, Pommard and Saint-Aubin.
This Saint-Aubin 1er Cru ‘Murgers des dents de chien’ is 100% Chardonnay picked from 20-year-old vines and aged for 12 months in French and Austrian oak barrels. The unusual name (literally ‘walls of dogs’ teeth’) refers to the jagged stone walls which are a common feature of the landscape in this part of Burgundy. This is a well-balanced Saint-Aubin with citrus aromas, elegant minerality and great length.
