Notes: Domaine de Fontavin was established in 1989 by the Chouvet family, who have been producing wine in the Rhone region for many generations. Today the Domaine owns 45 hectares of vines across 8 communes in the Southern Rhone, including Gigondas and Châteauneuf-du-Pape, and has been certified as an organic producer since 2008. David & Goliath Châteauneuf-du-Pape is 95% Grenache blended with 5% Syrah, from 80-year-old vines. Intense, complex and powerful, it has aromas of black fruit compote, Kirsch and spice. Full-bodied on the palate, this wine will stand up well to hearty beef and lamb dishes and can be aged for over 15 years.
