The Imperial Wine Company is strongly committed to protecting your privacy. We pledge to meet fully, and where possible to exceed, the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) which comes into force on May 25th 2018 and replaces the current Data Protection Act 1998. In doing so, we will ensure compliance by our staff with the strictest standards of security and confidentiality. Any data breaches will be reported to the ICO (Information Commissioners Office) within the 72 hour designated timeframe
What information we store
Personal data held by us is limited to customers’ names, addresses and telephone/fax numbers, email address and wine storage address details. No further information is collected by way of cookies on the website. We do not store customers’ credit/debit card details or bank details. We do not share any of our customer details with other institutions, wine merchants or other parties.
Encryption (secure padlock) is used for the contact form on the website thereby protecting both parties, whilst a newer firewall has been installed to protect the server even more reliably and the entire system has fully up to date virus software. Our IT support company has installed Two Factor Authentication to ensure that any remote access is limited to them.
Wine Lists and Wine offers
We use email to send our wine list and wine offers to our customers. If you no longer wish to receive them from us you may request this in writing, email or by telephone.
